Amanda Peeler: Empowering Others to Solve, Build, and Achieve

In honor of Women’s History Month, we are highlighting the women of Aktify. Their contributions are creating the world’s most advanced conversational AI.

Aktify advisor and board member Amanda Peeler wants to buy car insurance at 2 AM. In bed.

“I can’t be the only one,” she says. “My days are busy enough without interruptions from sales teams pitching me their products and services at the most inconvenient times.”

Peeler chose to be involved with Aktify because she is slightly obsessed with improving efficiency and ease of communication between brands and consumers.

“Empowering consumers to communicate with salespeople on their terms is a mission worth committing to.”

Peeler has a recipe on how to create productive people. It requires a blend of discipline and unique opportunities for significant challenges, creativity, and growth, she says. She and her husband, Aktify founder and CEO Kreg Peeler, apply this idea at both work and at home with their five children.

“Our collective experience in the world of startups has taught us this lesson repeatedly: resilience, creativity, and self-discipline deliver success,” she says.

One night, her ten-year-old son wrestled with a multilayer software installation on his computer. After his panic and tears subsided, he offered a casual remark to his parents:

“I’m so glad you guys don’t just jump in and solve everything for me,” Peeler recalls. “You ask us the right questions and make us figure it out for ourselves. I know I learn more that way, but it’s really frustrating sometimes.”

Peeler feels the same way about the Aktify team.

“We hired an elite team of geniuses, showed them a big vision and the intertwined challenges, then freed them up to solve, build, and achieve more than any of us could individually or with micromanagement,” says Peeler.

“It’s been an incredible journey thus far, and I know we’re just getting started.”
